"So... is it like History?"
Not really. Although we do study history, it is not our main subject. There are many different fields of Museology. These are : Anthropology, Archeology, Paleontology, Geology, History, Preservations, Restoration of Pieces, Communication and Information, Education, and my two favorite subjects Art History and Curatorship.
"How is the job market on this field?"
Terrible.
"Why do you study it then?"
Since I was little I always loved museums and art. I'm passionate about what I'm studying.
